Product Overview

Max Rock Cut Stone takes the tool-mark quality of Carved Stone and scales it up. The individual axe-cut depressions are wider and deeper — the kind of marks left by a broad-faced mason's axe rather than a narrow punch. On a large commercial wall, that scale difference matters: bigger marks hold their legibility from further away.

Available in 590×1180mm and 1200×2900/3000mm at 2 to 5mm thick, all regular colors, at $12.61/m². The two formats serve different installation contexts — the smaller panel for walls with multiple cutouts, the large board for open facades and feature walls. Commonly specified for exterior street-level retail cladding, commercial reception walls, and landscape retaining wall faces.

Key Features

  • Large-scale axe-cut depressions — bold tool marks readable from across a room or from street level
  • Two formats: 590×1180mm piece and 1200×2900/3000mm board — scale to the installation context
  • 2–5mm depth range — shallower sections give matte texture; deeper cuts create strong shadow
  • Exterior-rated: UV-stable and frost-proof for facade and landscape wall applications
  • All regular colors at $12.61/m² — accessible price for large commercial area coverage

Why Choose RINSUN Max Rock Cut Stone?

01. Larger tool marks stay legible at street-viewing distances

A fine hammer-dressed texture reads well from 1 to 2 metres. At 5 to 10 metres — the viewing distance for a ground-floor retail facade — finer textures flatten. Max Rock Cut Stone's larger depression scale keeps the surface reading as textured and interesting from across the street.

02. Two sizes from one mold — consistent texture at different scales

Both the 590×1180mm piece and the 1200×2900mm board are produced from the same mold geometry. The tool-mark character is identical on both. Choose the format based on installation practicality, not on texture quality.

03. Works on landscape retaining wall faces without mortar

Precast concrete retaining wall faces can be cladded with Max Rock Cut Stone using exterior-rated adhesive — no mortar, no specialist masonry work. The result reads as rough-cut stone-faced retaining wall at a fraction of the cost of real stone facing.

04. Non-porous surface won't stain or absorb urban pollution

Real rough-cut stone on street-facing facades absorbs carbon deposits and urban grime into the porous surface. Our composite surface is non-porous — rain clears the surface without leaving tide marks. A permanent finish that stays clean without treatment.

05. $12.61/m² — lower than most natural stone textures at comparable depth

At this price point, Max Rock Cut Stone is one of the most cost-effective high-relief products in our range. For large commercial facade areas where budget per m² is constrained, the combination of visual impact and price makes it a consistent commercial choice.

Where this flexible stone fits

Residential Feature Walls

Living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and bathroom accent walls. Bonds over existing plaster or existing surface in a single installation session.

Hotel & Hospitality Interiors

Lobby feature walls, guestroom accent walls, and corridor cladding. Heavy stone aesthetic without the structural coordination or specialist installation.

Commercial Offices & Reception

Reception area feature walls, boardroom accent panels, and breakout area cladding on projects where natural stone is the design intent but not the practical option.

Exterior Facades & Columns

Lightweight facade cladding on commercial buildings, architectural columns, and archways where the panel weight and flexibility change what's buildable.

Best suited to hotel lobbies, residential feature walls, commercial reception areas and lightweight façade accents. Available in 590*1180 and 1200*2900/3000 (mm); 2-5mm profile; All regular colors. Confirm the format, adhesive and exposure requirements against the project spec before ordering.

Installation notes for Max Rock Cut Stone

1. Prepare the substrate

For Max Rock Cut Stone, use a sound, dry and clean wall. Remove loose finishes and correct dampness before bonding the 2-5mm flexible stone panel.

2. Dry-fit the first panels

Check the 590*1180 and 1200*2900/3000 layout around openings, corners and trims before bonding.

3. Apply stone adhesive

Use the specified polymer-modified stone adhesive with a notched trowel. Press the panel firmly and keep the adhesive bed continuous.

4. Seal exposed edges

On outdoor or wet-area work, seal cut edges and panel joints with a compatible flexible weather sealant.

Final adhesive, substrate and sealing decisions should follow the project specification and the supplied technical data sheet.

Our Factory & Support

RINSUN manufactures Max Rock Cut Stone at its Foshan facility with 6 production lines and approximately 5,400 m² daily capacity. We provide samples, technical documents and project support through order confirmation, installation questions and after-sales response.

Q1
Can I use this on a fireplace surround?
Yes, the material is fire-resistant and handles heat well. However, it should not be in direct contact with open flames. It works perfectly for the wall behind a stove or around a hearth.
Q2
How do I hide the seams between panels?

We recommend using a matching color-coded grout or caulk in the joints. Because the pattern is repeating, the vertical seams blend into the basketweave design. If installed correctly, the transition is very hard to spot.
Q3
Is the surface rough to the touch?

It has a distinct tactile texture that mimics natural stone and woven materials. While it feels substantial, it is not abrasive enough to scratch skin. It adds a pleasant sensory layer to any room.
Q4
Do I need to seal it after installation?

For indoor use, no sealing is required as the surface is already treated. If installing outdoors, a water-repellent sealer can help keep the panel clean by shedding dirt. It prevents water-spotting in rain-prone areas.
Q5
Can I paint it if I change my mind later?

Yes, our flexible stone accepts high-quality acrylic or latex paints. You should use a primer first to confirm good adhesion to the mineral surface. This allows you to update the room’s color scheme without removing the panels.
